Gruppofallani has been awarded the tender procedure for the executive design of the installation of the Mineralogy Hall, at the MSN of Milan in Corso Venezia. The installation consists of the construction of an exhibition corridor, formed by two rows of showcases, on one side a glass front 240 cm high, which defines a large exhibition space, on the opposite side a row of showcases equipped with glass bells of different sizes, which have the possibility of varying their position according to the setting. In the centre of the room there are hexagonal shaped seats, which recall a stylized mineral section. Particular attention was paid to the lighting system, the top of the showcases is equipped with a series of electrified tracks where magnetic micro spotlights are mounted, chosen in two different colour temperatures to be modulated according to the colours of the exposed stones, the glass bells are equipped both of a led line on the upper part, and an electrified track to manage the precise lighting with spotlights. The internal holders required great effort, these are electrified cubes and parallelepipeds, metal elements equipped with a socket where to insert light points with a flexible arm, to illuminate hidden areas of the stones. At the end of the exhibition path, there is a dimly lit room, inside a particular showcase that exhibits crystals and minerals of particular value, with chromatic characteristics that are visible only with a purple UV light. The visitors will find themselves in front of an exhibition of gems illuminated with normal light and, by pressing a button, a UV source is activated which completely changes the chromatic perception.
